‘Uniquely qualified to look after your horse’s performance and rehab needs’
Georgie has strong interests in cardiology and poor performance investigation, particularly the diagnosis and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, and is passionate about equine athletes and their welfare. She is an FEI Permitted Treating Vet and an FEI Official Vet for eventing and showjumping. Georgie has also been a vet for the Mongol and Gaucho Derbies since 2018.
Originally from a sheep farm in England, Georgie evented to 3* until she graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2013. A subsequent move to Australia solidified her passion for racing and sport horse work. Progressing from Randwick Equine Centre to the Gold Coast, she then worked in Kentucky and Florida, and as a researcher, registrar and tutor at the University of Queensland Equine Specialist Hospital. After 3 years working as a specialist in the Waikato, Georgie has set down roots in the South Island and calls Canterbury home. Outside of her career, she enjoys exploring NZ with her dog Flint, paragliding and skiing.
